SELECTED POSTS
This page, NEWS & UPDATES which is

SERIES' SUMMARIES
Sometime in 2004 I began
reviewing selected
series in an episode by
episode way, where I
called these reviews
EPISODIC THOUGHTS.
These thoughts are
mostly summaries of each
and every episode with
my opinion of that
episode included in it
as well. I may not
provide the most in
depth summaries but I am
very proud of the fact
that I could keep the
writing on such a long
winded basis each and
every night for the
entirety of the series.
I don't do this for each
and every series though
because it kills a lot
of brain cells, mine as
well as fellow netizens
who often joined in the
discussion by posting
informative stuff. These
thoughts are still open
for feedback and

The Storytellers

After much thought I have decided to chuck This Is Charm (and restrict it solely for comments and wallpapers until further notice) because I want to concentrate on reviews (that is this site) and The Storytellers.
Can you still remember The Storytellers? After much thought I want to reopen my stories site and I want to post my stories and my friend's stories. I am ready for any criticism. Nobody said a good reviewer must be a good storyteller! I also want to reopen the reviews section for stories within The Storytellers. The problems before are as follows:-
1. unfinished stories
2. no time
So now I have decided to post only finished stories (fan fics will definitely be the least of the submissions because let's face it, you write as you go along) unless you can assure me a new chapter each week, like a weekly publication type of system. I want to review stories again and you know to my horror, I went to this website which I can't remember where and I read the rules. To be a reviewer there I must at least have one fan fic published. Now that is scary because I never written any fan fic before which made me think that I am rather unqualified. But I learn from your weaknesses (ok, no shooting let me explain). I learn as you learn so I thought since I am very good at analysing something (a trait all dragons have, making us all rather pompous but hey, I must admit, I am good at destorying stuff-am I Simon Cowell??) so I thought why not? So I thought why not start a queue for reviewing stories, one at a time so that I won't be like before. Now reviewing stories is not like submitting your stories to me. Your stories can be half way through (in fact the shorter the better so that I can read and finish and then review) and I can always follow up on the stories. I will not comment on the following:-
1. standard of English (unless you use the wrong words-I was pretty nasty in one review because the girl wrote appearing as apparition so I thought the character died and came back as a ghost or something)
2. grammar (I am worse),spelling (I understand the difficulty in proof reading so I will ignore that)
I will however concentrate on the following:-
1. the objective of your story and whether I can see your objective
2. your storytelling technique
3. the flow of your narration and the characters (I do not emphasise much on character development as in decription of their physical trait or past because I am one who believes description is unnecessary and more important is the flow of your character-what he's doing, what he wants to achieve, the focus point of your story"
4. review is done in accordance to the type of story, meaning scripts will of course make me concentrate more on the dialogue and all)
5. whether I can't stop reading your story.
The emphasise is on whether I enjoy reading your story. That's all. I am not concerned with the plot, unless it is so out of this world (fantasy stories will excuse such problem of course).
So if you would like me to review your story which must be published in the Internet and written by an amateur writer (come one! Stephen King is not going to ask me to review his book!). Give me the URL to your story, a brief description of your story (what is it about), how many chapters (whether completed or not) and that you pledge the following:-
"I will take any crappy statement from Funn and I swear never to hunt her down for her negative review and I shall not say 'why don't you write a story yourself' in defend of such negative review".
Send them all to point2e@myjaring.net and I will add it into the queue. Ermm, give me 2 to 4 weeks for the review to be completed because hey, I need to read your story, word for word. And yes, I will read.
I also want someone to review my stories in due time. Any volunteers? No need for any qualification whatsoever, as long as you love to read ALL types of stories and has an honest and objective opinion to share.
