SELECTED POSTS
This page, NEWS & UPDATES which is
actually the index page of this website has
grown into a huge database of my almost
daily ramblings of all stuff I hold dear to
my heart, including gossips of the most
sordid kind. For your convenience, I have

SERIES' SUMMARIES
Sometime in 2004 I began
reviewing selected
series in an episode by
episode way, where I
called these reviews
EPISODIC THOUGHTS.
These thoughts are
mostly summaries of each
and every episode with
my opinion of that
episode included in it
as well. I may not
provide the most in
depth summaries but I am
very proud of the fact
that I could keep the
writing on such a long
winded basis each and
every night for the
entirety of the series.
I don't do this for each
and every series though
because it kills a lot
of brain cells, mine as
well as fellow netizens
who often joined in the
discussion by posting
informative stuff. These
thoughts are still open
for feedback and
discussion. Do check

Asian Tsunami (2) [download file]

My sis sent me this file, someone captured these horrifying early moments of the tsunami attack I think at Gurney Drive, Penang, Malaysia. I was actually more horrified by the reaction of the people, very fascinated with the wave and of course that took them by surprise. Basically the people were saying...
"Wahhhh what a big wave ..."
"This is even greater ... this one more greater ... wahhhhhh"
"Eh, better go back a bit, eh where are the children, where are the children ...oohhhhhh ... hahahahahhahaaha" (yep, when the water hit them they were laughing!)
And that was when the wave hit the curb.
Do check out that lone guy standing near the shoreline and how he was swept in. I wonder is he ok?
Stupid stupid people. Now I know why the death toll is more than 70,000...most of them didn't know what was coming and thought it was funny.

...I can't believe these are Malaysians that went hahahahaha. I'm ashamed, frankly.
That is because you are looking it in the context of the aftermath also, that so many people die and so view what I wrote about that footage as disrespect. Look at that video itself; look at that lone guy standing way out; hear the woman who laughed when the waves crashed in and I think her male friend/husband started to feel quite panicky about where the children are and the what they said. They were being stupid and that is not disrespect but a matter of fact. Maybe I would be numbed but frankly I wouldn't laugh. I sat the whole day, actually past few days shocked and in mourning, not just for the lives lost in Malaysia, but Sri Lanka, India, even Africa, Indonesia and yet amazed by the worldwide global effort, that perhaps out of tragedy there is unity. It is obviuous the people in that footage didn't die, which is why you have the video feed. But this is not the reason why I put up the video for you to watch. I want to show how careless and ignorant people can be that it may be too late to salvage anything. But this is not said in respect of the many at the other places, just the people in this footage and I have no qualms of repeating, they were stupid.
And do put your name next time because I love to reply to a post with a name.
