SELECTED POSTS
This page, NEWS & UPDATES which is
actually the index page of this website has
grown into a huge database of my almost
daily ramblings of all stuff I hold dear to
my heart, including gossips of the most
sordid kind. For your convenience, I have

SERIES' SUMMARIES
Sometime in 2004 I began
reviewing selected
series in an episode by
episode way, where I
called these reviews
EPISODIC THOUGHTS.
These thoughts are
mostly summaries of each
and every episode with
my opinion of that
episode included in it
as well. I may not
provide the most in
depth summaries but I am
very proud of the fact
that I could keep the
writing on such a long
winded basis each and
every night for the
entirety of the series.
I don't do this for each
and every series though
because it kills a lot
of brain cells, mine as
well as fellow netizens
who often joined in the
discussion by posting
informative stuff. These
thoughts are still open
for feedback and
discussion. Do check

Strike At Heart [TVB]

Fans of this series might want to check out Sheh Sheh's Blog which has a very comprehensive summary and screencaptures episode by episode and also themesong for download. Must warn you though; the font is extremely small and coupled with the dark background colour, it is very difficult to read. Perhaps the webmaster might consider making the fonts bigger.
I must say thought Charmaine looks very very frail in here. And there's Joe Ma...When I was looking through the screencaps, I thought I saw Sunny Chan. True? So are they playing lovers again? I must say, when Sunny left TVB, Charmaine was a rising star and now, he's back and she is almost the big sister and he... well he's still famous I guess. Basically Sunny looks the same, he must be very surprised to see how thin Charmaine is. I still remember in Flying Fox, Charmaine was so pretty. Maybe she should consider putting on weight, her nose totally eclipsed her tiny but long face which now has laughing lines. I always thought she is pretty, a pity she lost what made her cute.
So what are your opinions of this series thus far? Interesting? Funny? Dramatic? Different? Is this that one which was originally called One Beautiful Spear??

I am looking forward to watching this series but am not looking forward to seeing Charmaine's performance. From her look and expression in the screen captures and the description of her character in episode summaries, I'm worried that her acting will be like that of her potrayal of Princess Chang Ping in PITNOL (the way Charm talk in that series is annoying, no grace at all). I hope that I will be proven wrong.
Anyway, I will still watch the series because Stephen Au is in it and it's been a long time since I've watch Sunny in an ancient series and it's been a long time since Nnadia is in any series.
Annie Man's character sounds interesting. I'm looking forward to see how she fares playing the unreasonable Jik Nui.
Personally, I think Annie and Charmaine should switch roles. Siu Keng's role seems to suit Annie's young and girlish look more. Charm being more mature looking should play the Jik Nui role. After watching War and Beauty, I feel that Charm is better in these kind of roles.
