SELECTED POSTS
This page, NEWS & UPDATES which is
actually the index page of this website has
grown into a huge database of my almost
daily ramblings of all stuff I hold dear to

sordid kind. For your convenience, I have

SERIES' SUMMARIES
Sometime in 2004 I began
reviewing selected
series in an episode by
episode way, where I
called these reviews
EPISODIC THOUGHTS.
These thoughts are
mostly summaries of each
and every episode with
my opinion of that
episode included in it
as well. I may not
provide the most in
depth summaries but I am
very proud of the fact
that I could keep the
writing on such a long
winded basis each and
every night for the
entirety of the series.
I don't do this for each
and every series though
because it kills a lot
of brain cells, mine as
well as fellow netizens
who often joined in the
discussion by posting
informative stuff. These
thoughts are still open
for feedback and

Article about Jang Donggun by a fan

A very long one indeed, written way back in 2002 and updated in 2005, it analyses Jang Donggun on every level of description and I mean every level. i agree with most of them but I must add weary is the looks to describe him these days. Lost a lot of weight, looks much older and much much tired, his new look kinda shocked me. I mean this man has naturally beautiful BUT chubby face and to see him looking for drawn out like exhausted is kinda painful considering he looked like a billion dollars in All About Eve. But saw him in an Ad about Korea, he looked quite young. Maybe it's the hairstyle.
But still good article to read about this man and I remember reading somewhere he is a man who can sit down for hours next to his friend saying absolutely nothing. You know he does look like the silent type.

Any fans of his here? I rarely follow Korean series or Korean actors' news, not even Bae Yong Jun but I think from now on I will follow this man's news. Am curious on his way of conquering the world cinema slowly.
I wonder when did Korean dramas got so famous? He was credited as the pioneer in having fans outside of Korea. I believe I have heard of All About Eve many years before, the very early type of Korean series which garnered interests in Malaysia. I wonder was this the starting point?
Oh God! I have been infected by the K-drama virus! But nope, I didn't enjoy Full House. Not my type of series...

I like to watch Korean and TVB series so there's actually a lot of Korean series out there which is good . True some of the storyline seems errrr repetitive but it's because the hero in Korean series always comes up like JDG character in All About Eve . Sigh !!! wonder is there any guys like that in real life :)
Too bad that All About Eve happens to be JDG last TV series as he's now concentrating in his movie career :( So if you want to see more of his series you have to actually watch back those "earlier" ones which I find their fashion really outdated now
Anyway Funn besides the "old timers " like Bae Yong Jun , JDG etc there's actually a few leading man heroes already filling up their shoes . Names like Kwon Sang Woo ( Stairway to Heaven ) , Lee Dong Gun & Park Shin Yang ( Lover in Paris ) , Jo In Sung & So Ji Sub ( memories of Bali ) etc Maybe one of these days if you get the chance can watch their series who knows you may like them too !
K-dramas are indeed repetitive, but you can not help but falling for the hero, they're too perfect for words! Notice in K-dramas, the heros always sporting suits, walking like a model! Their jobs are always executive positions, or heir to a corporation. I don't think I have watched a popular k-drama where the hero is delivering pizzas,etc.
I recommend you to watch "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" which just finished its broadcasting three weeks ago, perhaps the best drama this year thus far.

All About Eve is my first K-drama, and I've been hooked to K-dramas sice 2002! K-dramas are known for its sentimental feelings, and great OST, but it doesn't includes variety like TVB-dramas. All you get is romance .. romance .. romance ^^
