This page, NEWS & UPDATES which is
actually the index page of this website has
grown into a huge database of my almost
daily ramblings of all stuff I hold dear to
my heart, including gossips of the most
sordid kind. For your convenience, I have
posted a list of posts which I thought is
pretty informative in my own way that you
might find interesting. The list itself may
be long but those selected few are the ones
I thought drives home the point I wanted to
make. Do check them out in
MY POINT IS [Comments & Opinions].
SERIES' SUMMARIES
Sometime in 2004 I began
reviewing selected
series in an episode by
episode way, where I
called these reviews
EPISODIC THOUGHTS.
These thoughts are
mostly summaries of each
and every episode with
my opinion of that
episode included in it
as well. I may not
provide the most in
depth summaries but I am
very proud of the fact
that I could keep the
writing on such a long
winded basis each and
every night for the
entirety of the series.
I don't do this for each
and every series though
because it kills a lot
of brain cells, mine as
well as fellow netizens
who often joined in the
discussion by posting
informative stuff. These
thoughts are still open
for feedback and
discussion. Do check
them all out in
REVIEWS where it is
indicated with an

2009 : Lost Memories Permanent link ▫ ▫
Watched this movie again just now and I stand by my review. It's still too long, too many shootings but the acting by the two leads still great. But I disagree with my friend who said JDG looked the best in here. Nope, still All About Eve for me whilst body wise, The Coast Guard.
Anyway I was watching the making of, and there was this segment called Sakamoto, JDG's character in the movie. A special section for him and I wondered what eh? It was mostly about his attempt to speak Japanese in I guess the 1st dai of shooting a scene with Japanese dialogue in it. He NGed like 10 times and had to do it I think 2 more times to get it right. It was a very interesting segment, the hard work JDG put into it whilst his co-star whose name escape me right now as so very patient with him. True professionals, both of them.
Then there was this segment about all of them taking shooting lessons. JDG did ok, but he won't kill you. THe Japanese co-star I think missed it all. It was very funny to see them gloating in a way who is the better shot.
I will cut out the Sakamoto segment for you to see. I could differentiate between the Japanese dialogue and the Korean dialogue. I pity JDG though; it was a tongue twister scene.
I think in The Promise he will have a better and easier time since Mandarin is less tongue twister. With the dedication I saw in this segment, really I have no doubt he will get the words right. And he even managed to squeeze in some acting also.
There were a lot of various segments like how he ended up in the hospital and signing loads of autograph and all.
Anyway guess how JDG communicated with his fellow Japanese co-star? How? Ahhhhh the universal language. NO! Not wink and sign language. ENGLISH. Surprising eh?
Anyway, I got my Sims 2 today. Wow is my only reaction. Wow! Wow! Wow! So my new computer is worth it after all!!

I finishes typing my comment but when I sent I forget to key in the verification word. oops...
Anyway... I have tried watching this movie twice but never got the passion to watch right till the end. Too long ... I agree. But I do know the ending, thanks to my sister who fill me up with the details.
BTW.. I know from my sister that JDG is fluent in Japanese.. hmm why 10Ngs????
I have to mentioned this.. when you say his body - the Coast Guard.. it sort of reminded my is David Hasselhoff (Baywatch)... don't shoot me!!!.. It sort of remind me.. hehehehehe..
Cheers
Adelyn, I was shocked to know you can play woo-hoo in this game. I tried it and I thought oh my god! Very addictive but the zooming and all very confusing! I should try that and see what happens..I wonder is this game like really PG rated-ish? Is there like a sex party or something? I am still shocked.
oh.. i forgot to mention something. I've got so many friends who played this game before, BUT I'm the only one, that I know so far, who had a sim couple who had 2 sets of twins!
Wonder if anyone else had that experience while playing the game..
But still GREAT game, although very limited choices. What's great though I found some cheat codes and I successfully put Dae Jang Geum's song into the POP folder and now my Sim is dancing to that song!! I am learning to put Jang Dong Gun's picture and videos in the house.
Anyway do you know how I can evict a family from a home? I can't seem to find the bulldoze button.
Yeah, i guess its a rather adult game, you can woohoo your spouse and and then divorce and woohoo someone else (not necessarily in that order) haha. But still, the woohoo in this game is still under the blankets.
But if you want the marriage to still be going on strong, then make sure the spouse isn't in the same room. Also don't do it in front of other friends and neighbours because they will start gossiping till the rumours spread to the spouse. But of course if the spouse comes to know about it and is greatly affected then you can opt for a divorce, in which one of them will just pack up and leave.
One thing i can't really stand is the amount of homework the kids get though. And the amount of hospitality you got to put in to bootlick the headmaster into letting your kids into private school. Seducing him wouldn't work.
Its a very cool game. You should try it. You get to build up en entire neighbourhood. You can build houses and families and you can play with them. So basically you are God in this game. You get to pick the number of family members, edit their facial and emotional features, their goals and aspirations, etc. You can build individual characters and get them to meet, date and marry. THey can woohoo in bed and hopefully the wife may get pregnant. Then you can watch the birth of a newborn baby, with genes almost similar to that of his parents. You can name the baby and watch him grow. You can take care of him, socialize him or get him to learn new skills, which will ultimately affect how he will turn out as an adult. So then the parents can grow old and die while the children grow up and get married. Its a life cycle.
Basically, you can socialize all your characters in which ever way you want, based on your imagination and fantasies. You can build a happy family, or a homosexual couple. You can kill your sims prematurely or let them have extramarital affairs. They can be a doctor, or a policeman or a thief. Or they can just be a slacker at home. Its all up to you.
This game is about your life and your fantasies. =)
