daily ramblings of all stuff I hold dear to
my heart, including gossips of the most
sordid kind. For your convenience, I have
posted a list of posts which I thought is
pretty informative in my own way that you

MY POINT IS [Comments & Opinions].
SERIES' SUMMARIES
Sometime in 2004 I began
reviewing selected
series in an episode by
episode way, where I
called these reviews
EPISODIC THOUGHTS.
These thoughts are
mostly summaries of each
and every episode with
my opinion of that
episode included in it
as well. I may not
provide the most in
depth summaries but I am
very proud of the fact
that I could keep the
writing on such a long
winded basis each and
every night for the
entirety of the series.
I don't do this for each
and every series though
because it kills a lot
of brain cells, mine as
well as fellow netizens
who often joined in the
discussion by posting
informative stuff. These
thoughts are still open
for feedback and
discussion. Do check
them all out in
REVIEWS where it is
indicated with an

The definition of repeated viewings Permanent link ▫ ▫
How many times can one person watch the same movie in the matter of weeks? Let me count ...
Sometime a week ago watched Batman Begins first time.
Came home watched it a second time.
Then my eldest sister watched it again, so the third time and that was 2 days ago.
Yesterday second sister watched quarter of it.
Then today second sister continued the movie and watched until maybe a quarter left.
Tomorrow I bet finishing the quarter.
All in all I have lost count how many times I have seen Batman Begins. Not yet bored with it and still find it funny and strangely endearing but really, 3 nights in a row is more than enough. I kept hearing "A symbol ... something elemental" and I kept thinking how trusting Bruce is with regards to his technology. He literally jumped off the rooftops and I was thinking what if that wing thing refused to open? Then how? HOW?!
I think I have had enough of Batman Begins for a while or what I call, Batman Beginning Again, Batman Beginning Yet Again, Batman Returns to Begin Again, Batman Forever Beginning Again ... by the way my sister watched this movie. One can only look at Christian Bale for that many times before feeling...I need a change of handsome face.
Oh by the way I saw something very interesting in the newspaper that some of you, a very few of you might be interested. Will scan it and post it this weekend.
I am now watching Shine On You. I think that's the title, not to be mistaken with Shame On You. I thought the 1st episode was so very funny. Watching Michael Tao running to school late and the students running along had me in stitches. Finally something lighthearted after the mega heavy 1 million tonnes worth, Split Second.

The other was the LOTR trilogy, especially part 2.
Others which I have watched again and again included American Beauty (always intriguing), The Birdcage (always funny!), Finding Nemo (I never seem to get tired of it)and a few others.
So Funn, u gonna do a review on Split Second?
Well, movies I've seen most times are 'The Young Ones', 'Comet Butterfly and Sword' and 'Wing Chun'. I love Comet and Wing Chun when I was young, so I watched them whenever they were on TV. I watched them 3 or 4 times already. Now already gotten tired of Wing Chun but still love Coment. 'The Young Ones' I have watch 3 times. Not exactly an amazing movie, but got Sammul Chan, Edwin Siu, Oscar Leung (that guy who always sleeps in the class in SOY), Gregory Lee in the movie when they were still nobodies (Edwin used another name back then). This movie wa also the first time I saw Louis Koo play a comedic role. Quite fun watching this guys before they were famous.
Another movie soon to be included in my repeated viewing is 'Lan Yu'. I've viewed it twice already and I'm going to view it again when I get the original DVD from yesasia. Probably going to view it many more times.
Nope not gonna do a review on Split Second. I have seen so little of it can't be fair to do a review.
Kidd, what show is Lan YU?
Read here for the reviews of Lan Yu. The reviews better described the movie.
http://www.lovehkfilm.com/reviews/lan_yu.htm
It's a gay movie. I find the movie very touching. The story is actually pretty simple, but the way the movie is filmed and the great performances by the main 2 leads make the movie very touching to me. The scene where Handong hugged Lan Yu thightly after finding him safe from the Tiananmen massacre is such a heartfelt scene. But what attracted me most is the main character Lan Yu. What a likeable character.
The version I watched is part of a 3-in-1 movie compilation DVD and dialogue is dubbed in cantonese (original language is mandarin). I find the dubbed dialogue unsatisfactory. That's why I have to order the original from yesasia.
