SELECTED POSTS

This page, NEWS & UPDATES which is actually the index page of this website has grown into a huge database of my almost daily ramblings of all stuff I hold dear to my heart, including gossips of the most sordid kind. For your convenience, I have posted a list of posts which I thought is pretty informative in my own way that you might find interesting. The list itself may be long but those selected few are the ones I thought drives home the point I wanted to make. Do check them out in MY POINT IS [Comments & Opinions].

SERIES' SUMMARIES

Sometime in 2004 I began reviewing selected series in an episode by episode way, where I called these reviews EPISODIC THOUGHTS. These thoughts are mostly summaries of each and every episode with my opinion of that episode included in it as well. I may not provide the most in depth summaries but I am very proud of the fact that I could keep the writing on such a long winded basis each and every night for the entirety of the series. I don't do this for each and every series though because it kills a lot of brain cells, mine as well as fellow netizens who often joined in the discussion by posting informative stuff. These thoughts are still open for feedback and discussion. Do check them all out in REVIEWS where it is indicated with an  [E] next to my name.

OFFBEAT STUFF

There is this one section in here that features offbeat stuff that are not entertainment based. The section is known as FUNN STUFF [COMMENTS & OPINIONS].

PERSONAL FAVOURITES

There are 3 sections in here that contain my personal favourites of all kinds. THE DDGs [COMMENTS & OPINIONS] which features specially made websites by myself with info & all related stuff of my favourite stars or stars I like to talk about, MEDIA & MUSIC FILES [DOWNLOADS] which has my favourite VODs and music files, most of them are taken from Chinese & Korean dramas & movies and some of which I am hosting for my net friends and THE STORYTELLERS [WEBSITES], where you'll find stories written by amateur writers like you and I.

Do check them all out!

What would you have done?

Thanks to Sehseh for forwarding this rather infuriating clip featuring who is now the famous Hong Kong Bus Uncle. It's real, very real. I mean poor young man, he just asked that old man to lower his voice whilst talking into his Handphone and next thing you know, what seems like 6 minutes of continuing nagging and escalating into a full swearing session, on the part of the uncle. You just give credit to that young man for not screaming back. Frankly the young man couldn't have had any chance of retorting to this self righteous type of hypocrite because in another separate clip even the police can't outtalk this old man.

What would you have done?

a. change seats
b. get down at the next stop
c. ignore him & not talk to him
d. punch him

I am tempted to do d. but I think probably a and c will be a good combination.

These clips show to you that there is a time where you must learn to shut up. I don't mean the young man, I meant the uncle. Just please shut up!!

Anyway here is a link to a funny spoof which I feel perhaps the young man should have retorted that way. I just found out that this clip is actually "Previously, the nastiest man in Hong Kong was an individual known as Alan Ho, whose taped conversation to the Airport Authority inquiry line was leaked to the public as an example of a caller from hell (see Global Noise) So someone has mixed the two audio tapes to have a Bus Uncle versus Alan Ho match -- these two people from hell deserve each other ... "

Now this uncle is like famous for being so bloody rude.

But I must add this link to this rap spoof-full of profanity BUT just so darn funny! I can't help but just keep laughing!

The uncle is still not identified. I guess he must be very ashamed of what he said. All those talks about the poor man's mother ...

Go here to see further development of the Buss Uncle issue. It has been blown really really out of proportion. Very hilarious. :D

The young 'victim' was not as helpless as he seems in the clip.

My clips recommendation:

1) Cable TV News clip. - this has a summary of all that has happened since this video became popular. Has interviews with the camera boy, pyschiatrist, tv commercial producer, general public and examples of spoof clips. Very hilarious.

2) Commercial Radio 881 interviewed the young man named Alvin - the 'victim'

3) Commercial Radio interviewed the camera man

You're welcome. The spoofs are a good laugh to relief a stressful day. Because; you have pressure, I have pressure... :P

Clip 1: Poor kid. But he sure know how to push that man's button. It drives that uncle crazy because everytime he thought he had the final say, the kid will say something! Haha!

Clip 2: Poor policemen. It's bad enough to be a beat cop. Now he had to bear with that uncle for another full 4 mins. The cop is so courteous and patient, must have been 'professionally' trained by his daily routine - listening to the complaint of auntie & uncles.

By the way, did you have a look at the spoof poster and Bus Uncle merchandise? That dog t-shirt look cute...

My favourite is still the karaoke version and the Election poster. :)

The Shall We Talk version also quite funny.

These people are so creative. Another one put dramatic background music into the clip.

The clip looks like one of those Du Wa Zhai movies, especially the subtitled one. :D

The HK people are also enterprising. So many types of merchandising. :)

Free As Wind (HK Radio Program) also talk about it. Got long analysis.

The clip played just like a scene out of Stephen Chow's movies (I can imagine Stephen as the rude uncle bus)... I found the young man's language to be crude in some instances too....

Btw, I tried to listen to that rap song, but couldn't stand it so didn't finish listening to it. :0

My limited grasp of Cantonese must have dented the impact of the bus uncle's tirate somewhat. I'll probably just ignore him.
